The Emptiness Within (Jamal Yearwood)

Once filled with the sounds of praises, flowing from the mouths of its congregation, singing the songs of praise - now filled with the sounds of the emptiness of the seats, a deafening sound of silence, disturbed only by the whispers of the wind passing through the spaces in the windows; replacing the boisterous sounds of walls filled with voices. Visits to the world wide churches on the world wide web holds no significance when the warmth of the person not seen within can't be held in a sweet embrace.
Smiling faces now restricted to the screen, so close, yet separated by miles, once those smiles were merely an arms length away.

The time is coming, the day shall arrive, the crowds shall gather, the people will cheer, the building may not exist but the heavens will open. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be,  praises will rise, dancing won't cease, all will sing in one accord. Keep the faith, God is not dead, nor does He slumber or sleep. The King is coming - when the roll is called up yonder let's all be there.

We are the church, if our faith crumbles so do the walls of our temples.
